This movie is a masterclass in bad decisions and disappointing conclusions. Cooper, the protagonist, seems either blessed by a god of luck or surrounded by the most shockingly idiotic individuals imaginable. Seriously, no one in this movie behaves like a functioning human being.
Cooper somehow manages to get away with everything despite making a string of nonsensical choices. For a character who is supposed to be “meticulous” and “OCD,” balancing two separate lives, he goes out of his way to look as suspicious as possible. It’s like he’s actively trying to get caught. Every decision he makes contradicts the careful, calculated nature his character supposedly embodies, making him one of the least believable fictional serial killers I’ve ever seen.
What initially had the potential to be an intriguing story quickly devolves into complete nonsense. Just when you think it couldn’t get worse, it’s seasoned with the typical M. Night Shyamalan-style “twist” that feels more like a desperate attempt to salvage an incoherent plot.
As if the writing wasn’t bad enough, the audio is atrocious. Whether it’s inconsistent levels, poor mixing, or just outright bad sound design, the technical issues are as distracting as the story itself. It’s hard to stay engaged when you’re constantly straining to hear dialogue or wincing at poorly balanced sound effects.
This film is a mess from top to bottom, with a frustratingly bad plot and unremarkable execution across the board. Save your time—this one isn’t worth it.
